A locally owned real estate company focusing on short term and long-term rental properties. Mak Rentals typically purchases distressed homes, completely remodels them with high quality finishes and rents them either as a long-term rental or an Airbnb/VRBO.

Construction Assistant/ Property Manager

What are job responsibilities of this position?

• Short Term Rentals- cohost on Airbnb/VRBO, learn Guestly, organize cleaners, organize restocking units, help set up new STR by picking out furniture, artwork, etc…)
• Purchaser- learn items that are needed for remodeling, for all properties. Finding best deals on appliances, tile, helping run warehouse etc.
• Subcontractor Research- helping get quotes and bids for various subcontractor jobs for construction and other various needs for company and ownership team.
• Executive Assistant to Owner- working with ownership to get needs organized for personal life.

What are requirements and recommendations to be hired?

• Adherence to Core Values of Honestly, Humility & Hard Work.
• Real Estate Experience of at least 2 years either selling real estate, working with STR. Good taste in real estate design is absolute must as you will be purchasing and helping design properties.
• Detailed Oriented- very much someone that is very organized, and process driven.
• Adequate Construction Understanding- should be able to understand and explain needs for each property to get accurate and precise quotes
• Technologically Sound- Apple Iphone, able to learn programs like Guestly, helping set up Nest Thermostats, Roku TV, Noiseaware, etc… Ability to work with computer is a must.
• Flexibility to Travel- work will be mostly located in the north Charlotte area of Denver, NC but will also include areas like Gastonia, Mt. Holly, Mooresville and occasionally traveling to areas like Statesville, Troutman, Catawba, etc… may be needed. Having reliable transportation is needed.

What are bonus qualities for candidates?

• Experience with Guestly Short Term Rental program
• Experience running Airbnbs and/or VRBO’s
• Have a pick-up truck to use as needed
• Have laptop/computer and smartphone already available for use

What are pay and benefits of position?

• Great benefits include PTO, Paid Holidays, 3.5% Match 401k, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance & more.
• Pay is salary plus commission. The better you do with your properties, the more you make. High growth potential in position and pay. Pay raises average 5 times national average.
• Pay based on experience and starts $50,000-$75,000 per year.
